Hi there!
I found an old picture of a Siemens L135 siren, labeled Albiswerk Zürich A.G. The siren is placed in a wind tube test bench at ETH university in Zürich, uknown date. (Note that the siren looks brand new - not even painted)

I was wondering if L135 siren was manufactured (or imported?) and installed in Switzerland under Albiswerk Zürich A.G. Never seen this siren in wild in Switzerland, though.
Siemens & Albiswerk
Re: Siemens & Albiswerk
Albiswerk Zürich is a part of the Siemens Group.
I think they've tested the FM SI 40 to the Swiss requirements for the use in the Swiss civil alarm system.
So I suppose Albiswerk just operated as a distributor.
Btw... Welcome back!

Re: Siemens & Albiswerk
Nice to hear from you again Niklas! I don't think though that they are any installed in Switzerland as far as I know, maybe it was, as you said, just a testing procedure held by the state, or maybe a donation of the company to ETH for studying purposes.
I always try to find out more about this specific model with the two roofs (exact manufacturing program period, exports to Greece and Argentina etc), but it seems info is very little. I have even contacted Siemens Historical Institute but they have no data and info at all...

Re: Siemens & Albiswerk
Just have in mind, all the later Swiss made sirens as the MSL3 had the old Siemens Protective Roof Design.
